| Ministery of Economic Affairs gives away 1,5 billion in subsidies for durable energy |

Within 5 days a total of 1,5 billion euros has been allocated to 600 companies who are active in durable solution ranging from green gas, electricity generation from bio mass, solar power and wind energy. The total estimated amount of electricity generation from these projects is believed to be equivalent to the annual consumption of 120.000 Dutch households.The subsidy is in the form of a guaranteed price of 9 cents per kWH of electricity or 62 cents per m3 of green gas. The subsidies are needed to make the alternative competitive in comparison with fossil energy.
