Selling prices in Dutch manufacturing industry were 6 percent higher in December 2011 than in December 2010. The price increases were less substantial than in November, when prices were nearly 8 percent up on one year previously. Across the board, manufacturers charged higher prices for their products. With 17 percent, prices of petroleum products increased most. Prices in the chemical industry also rose substantially (8 percent). Price increases for petroleum and chemical products were less substantial than in November, when prices were respectively 25 and 10 percent higher than one year previously. Manufacturing prices hardly changed in December compared to November. Prices on the domestic market remained stable, whereas prices on the foreign market dropped marginally. |
