Indian ONGC delegates visit the Netherlands April 14 a delegation of Indian businessmen from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) descended on Holland Gateway for an event organized by the Energy Delta Institute. Also partaking in this event were representatives of the Dutch TNO institute. The TNO representatives were on hand to shed light on Dutch knowhow in the processing of oil and gas. The event started off with presentations by TNO speakers Renè Peter (TNO Science & Industry), Dr. Oscar Abbink and Drs. Ymke van den Berg (TNO Built Environment and Geoscience).
Dr. Oscar A. Abbink, TNO manager of oil and gas, took his time to present his insight in TNO’s developments procedures and discussed the conceptualization of TNO’s research & development in the sector. A further topic discussed was TNO’s cooperation with universities and how they apply their knowledge into practical situations. Dr. Abbink also shared how TNO with its discoveries helps to raise the general quality of life assists with defense of public safety and helps scientific endeavors in industries. Other topics discussed were TNO’s integrity services, process instruments and production optimization.
René Peter went on to explain how there are diverse groups active in production technology and how they help to maximize production in the existing circumstances. Another interesting point was the explanation of the process for the capturing and storage of carbon dioxide and it use for renewable energy. The mission of TNO was explored, addressing their continued commitment to increasing reserves and reducing emissions. The attentive audience was very interested to hear about the concept of ‘subsea development’. The participants expressed their appreciation of the event and voiced their gratitude towards the speakers for sharing their valuable knowledge. |
