Expat Center Brabant has been established to stimulate a fast and easy integration for expats in Brabant. We do this by offering combined procedures for registration with the municipality and receiving your residence card or permit from the Immigration and Naturalisation Service. To better assist expats with services they may need when preparing to come to The Netherlands and during the first months after arrival, we want to set up a Partnership Program with private service providers.

The cooperation between Expat Center Brabant and service providers will cover all relevant sectors. This includes banking, housing agencies, tax and financial advisors, childcare, education (higher education, international schools, training and courses), language courses, media, employment agencies, legal advisors, relocators, insurance, travel agencies, telecom & internet, health care and sports. This cooperation will create a reliable network of service providers to redirect to.

Its favourable location at a major intersection of roads, cultures and languages has made Maastricht an internationally oriented city. The Maastricht Region has developed rapidly into a centre of knowledge and services. Many foreign companies have discovered Maastricht to be an excellent springboard to access European markets. And as a result, more and more expatriates are drawn to the Maastricht Region, to live, work and study here.

In response to this trend, the municipality of Maastricht, Brainport Development, Limburg Development and Investment Company LIOF and the Maastricht Region Branding Foundation started an initiative to support the international community: the International Service Desk Maastricht Region. The desk is an information point for expatriates, the international business community and foreign students in the city of Maastricht and the surrounding region. It provides information and services on a variety of topics, including formalities relating to mandatory registration, parking permits, marriage, registration of birth, converting driving licences, waste collection, etc.
